A Flicker Is Still Light
There are moments in life that truly test us. Moments that, when we sit with them long enough, show us just how strong we are. Even when we can’t feel it yet.
Last week was one of those moments in my life. In full transparency, there were moments where I just wanted to walk away. But I knew that wasn’t what was best. So I kept taking the small steps.
In many ways this is all leading to change and growth. And change, even the kind we didn’t ask for, has a way of teaching us things we didn’t know we needed to learn. It stretches us. It shifts us. And sometimes, in the middle of all of that, hope can feel like a flicker rather than a flame. But a flicker is still light.
That light shows us that there is a way and that we allowed to feel it all and still choose hope.
If you’ve had a hard week, a hard month, or a season of life that has felt heavier than you expected, I want you to know that you don’t have to have it all figured out right now. You’re allowed to feel everything that comes with navigating the unknown. And you’re allowed to choose hope anyway.
That’s not weakness. That’s courage.
I’m leaning into that courage. Into a resilience I’ve never quite felt before. One that is being shaped in the quiet moments, in the unresolved things, in the lessons I’m still learning to name.
Resilience isn’t born in the big moments. It’s born in the ones no one sees. And I’m learning that getting through them doesn’t make you fragile. It makes you stronger than you knew.
