I honor the moment I’m in and trust that presence creates growth.
Today I’m enjoying the simple things. I’m savoring every sip of coffee. Noticing the pitter patter of dog paws on the floor. Taking in the low beat of the music. Smiling as my love opens and enjoys his first sip of his favorite morning drink. I’m noticing it all. Sitting with the world as it is.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve realized that staying mindful of where I am, the choices I make, and how I cope with it all has been its own kind of healing. Just by being aware of my existence in the moment, I’ve started to do deeper work. I’ve learned to show up better or at least to recognize when I haven’t—and grow from there.
And I think that’s the work for all of us. To stay present. To be mindful. To keep choosing growth. To keep showing up.
